As we have already stated in previous posts, the situation humanity is facing as a whole requires an equally global coordinated response in all dimensions – material, rational, and spiritual. Another aspect we have mentioned before is that such a profound change will be possible only if each of us contributes to the solution since our collective unfolding will necessarily raise the bar for the needed leadership in private and public institutions. Hence, the challenge lies in crafting a coherent response and in its effective coordination. The coaching process combined with the power of expression and collaboration provided by the proper use of Web 2.0 technologies could be the very foundation for a collective awakening and the spread of subsequent coherent action. To think of "playing" as a means to solve the daunting problems faced by humanity could appear to be a rather unlikely way to address the serious challenges we are currently facing, but it is in fact one of the keys to discovering our potential. Playing is the main foundation in any person's learning process (children and adults alike). Playing allows hand-on experiences and enriching interactive exchanges. Playing activates your imagination and creativity; it detaches you from a one-dimensional rationalization of a situation to provide a more accurate perception of a given experience. On the other hand, humanity is facing the imperative need to undergo a far-reaching paradigm shift since the relentless pursuit of our western lifestyle is unsustainable and the underlying reason for the current global economic and environmental crisis. We most realize that through out history the nature of our challenges has evolved from being material challenges that impacted our survival, to intellectual challenges that drove our material progress, and now to spiritual challenges that question the meaning and sustainability of what we have created. Since the solution to our current challenges lies far above our mind, my proposal is to reclaim our capacity to "play" in order to find our way through the most crucial journey of transformation faced by humanity in recent memory...
